How does the talent distinguish itself from its peers?
Bas is only 30 but is already regarded as one of the key members of the EY-Parthenon M&A/Debt Advisory team. He knows the PE market very well, and is really specialised in buy-side financing with a buy-and-build angle. He takes the lead in processes and is a very diligent and hard worker. 

What impact does the talent have within the organization?
Already for quite some time he is actively involved in the recruitment of new people, which the partners really trust him with. He is also active in the training of the wider department, whereby he gives M&A crash course trainings to new starters (also from the Strategy-branch). This shows he is regarded internally as an authority on the subject of (buy-side) M&A. 

What impact does the talent have outside the organization?
Please also refer to the above remarks. His involvement on many recent deals, e.g. the acquisition of Nordian of MagicFX or the add-ons to HC Partners’ platform Fysiogroep Nederland (and many more in the recent past) evidence his market-leading knowledge and abilities as a dealmaker. Notably, he manages such deals with limited partner involvement. 

To what extent does the talent make a difference when working with clients?
Bas takes the role of a ’trusted advisor’, and is therefore their key point of contact during (sometimes very stressful) processes. He is able to quickly answer their urgent questions in simple language, and without having to revert to someone more senior. Bas truly puts client experience upfront, meaning that he will do whatever in his power to make sure the materials or process milestones are delivered on time.
