The Dutch M&A Market, Ranked Every Quarter

The M&A Community (MenA.nl) publishes the League Tables for the Dutch M&A-market every quarter.

Based on data from the transaction database Dealmaker.nl, these rankings provide a current overview of the most active M&A advisers, law firms, and due diligence firms in the Netherlands.

The League Tables are updated in real time and are always available in their most current form on Dealmaker.nl.

Each quarter, MenA.nl publishes a quarterly update on the state of the market. These quarterly updates appear not only on MenA.nl, but also in Het Financieele Dagblad and in M&A Magazine.

How the League Tables Work

Submissions: Throughout the quarter, firms and advisers can submit their completed transactions via Dealmaker.nl.
Eligibility criteria: To count towards the League Tables, a deal must have a value of at least €5 million and involve the acquisition of at least 30% of the shares. Deals must also have a clear Dutch component to be eligible.
Rankings: Performance is tracked across three main categories – M&A Advisory, Legal Advisory, and Financial Due Diligence – each broken down by deal volume and deal value.

Submission Deadlines for the 2026 Quarterly League Tables

To be included in the 2026 Quarterly League Tables, deals must be submitted before the following deadlines:

Q1, April 3rd (publication date April 16th)
Q2: July 1 at 1 p.m. (publication date: July 16)
Q3, October 2nd (publication date October 15th)
Q4, January 9th (publication date January 22nd)

Immediately after each deadline passes, the League Tables are exported and prepared for publication. This means that deals submitted after the deadline will no longer be counted for that period's League Tables; they will instead be included in the following period's tables. The same applies to changes to deals that have already been published – such as additions to advisory teams, changes in deal value, or adjustments to the percentage sold — if these changes are submitted after the deadline.

A Snapshot, Not a Live Feed

The League Tables are always a snapshot in time. The published tables in Het Financieele Dagblad, MenA.nl, and M&A Magazine may therefore differ from what is visible on Dealmaker.nl at a later date. The online version on Dealmaker.nl always provides the most accurate, up-to-date representation of the League Tables.

Submission Terms & Accuracy

To ensure a product that is as comprehensive and high-quality as possible, Dealmaker.nl relies on the accuracy of all material submitted for inclusion. Contributors must confirm that:

all submitted information is accurate;
they have all necessary permissions to make the submission; and
the use of the material by MenA.nl and Dealmaker.nl will not infringe on any third-party rights (for example, copyright) or breach any law or agreement (for example, an obligation of confidentiality).

By submitting information, each contributor confirms to Dealmaker.nl that all of these statements are correct.
