On October 8th 2026, the M&A Trend Forum will take place - the annual meeting point for professionals in the world of M&A. This event brings together leading dealmakers, investors, and advisors to discuss the latest trends and developments shaping the M&A market.

This year we welcome Mathijs Bouman as a speaker. Mathijs is an economist and journalist. He is a regular columnist for Het Financieele Dagblad and an editor/economist at Nieuwsuur. In recent years he was regularly seen on RTL-Z, De Wereld Draait Door, Jinek, Pauw, EenVandaag, RTL Late Night and other news and current affairs programmes.

Mathijs has been working on the Dutch and international economy for over thirty years, as a teacher, as a scientist, as a stock market commentator, journalist, writer and columnist. Mathijs Bouman likes to write about economics. But maybe he'd rather talk about it. In a room with people he can look at, who can react and with whom he can discuss. He likes to talk about current economic topics, innovation (robots!), the labor market and successful Dutch companies. Mathijs brings two ingredients in any case: hard facts and a healthy dose of humor.
