The best deal of the year is about more than just the highest number in the headlines and the art of deal-making is more than just drafting a contract. That’s why the Best Deal Award should not be based on price alone, but primarily on the value a deal adds to a company and its exit strategy.

How are the nominees and winners selected?
In the categories Best Deal and Best Deal Mid-Market, numerous nominations were submitted over the past few months via MAawards.nl. Many thanks on behalf of the editorial team and the jury. Additionally, the editorial team nominated deals based on input from 1,500 M&A and Private Equity experts who participated in the annual M&A Awards survey.
The jury panel, Ton van Veen (Former CFO and CEO of Jumbo Supermarkets), Jan Piet Valk (Former CFO of Boels Rental), Gaby Smeenk (Partner at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek), Maurits Duynstee (Partner at AXECO), Cilian Jansen Verplanke (Founding Partner at Karmijn Kapitaal), and Mayte Oosterveld (Former CFO at Just Eat Takeaway.com), have carefully reviewed and selected the nominees for the M&A Awards 2026.
Final scores are determined 25% by your vote and 75% by the jury. Vote now for your favorite deal. Voting closes on Monday, 30 November at 23:59 CET. You can vote for one deal only.
